The main objectives of this ESR are (1) to determine degradation rates of different plastic mulching materials (conventional and biodegradable) at the different project test sites under consideration of different soil management and environmental conditions. (2) Quantify the importance of different degradation processes (mechanical breakdown of MaP due to tillage, degradation under UV-light and microbial biodegradation).
